1965 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi Split-Window Bus

This 1965 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi was originally delivered to Peru from Germany and underwent a repaint and interior refresh before being imported to the US by the seller in 2021. The van is finished in green and white over gray upholstery and powered by a 1.5-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a split windshield, 14″ steel wheels, removable bench seats, and front and rear bumper overrider bars. This Type 2 is now offered in Florida with import documentation and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name. The bus was repainted its current shade of green and white approximately a year and a half ago in Peru and features gold trim around the body. Exterior details include white-finished bumpers with overrider bars, dual side mirrors, and body-color window trim. Photos of the paintwork process are provided in the gallery below. White-painted steel wheels wear chrome VW hubcaps and Sakura Super Steel S851 tires with faux whitewall trim. The truck came from the factory with heavy-duty shocks and drum brakes at all four corners. Corrosion is visible on two of the wheels, and one wheel shows a bend on the outer rim. The cabin features front bucket seats and two removable benches upholstered in light gray cloth with darker gray vinyl sides and backs. Equipment includes ceiling-mounted venting and a front passenger grab-handle. Corrosion is visible on the textured black flooring, additional photos of which are presented in the gallery. A black two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color dashboard that houses a 100-km/h speedometer with a five-digit odometer that shows 60k kilometers (~37k miles), only a handful of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The air-cooled 1.5L flat-four features a single carburetor. Wiring repairs were performed in Peru per the seller.
