1967 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus Split-Window

This 1967 Volkswagen Type 2 is an 11-window example modified by a previous owner in 2016. It is finished in two-tone BMW Valencia Orange and Mineral White Metallic and features a matching interior equipped with custom sound and lighting systems. Power is from a rebuilt 2,180cc flat-four paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Other modifications are said to include a Wagenswest suspension, Wilwood disc brakes, dual Kadron carburetors, stainless steel headers and exhaust, an aftermarket clutch, and more. This Bus was acquired by the selling dealer six months ago and is now being offered with a clean California title. The refurbishment was reportedly completed in 2016 and is said to have included a bare metal repaint in 2-tone BMW Valencia Orange and Mineral White Metallic multi-stage paint, including body-colored bumpers. The seller reports that the front Safari windows are replacement units and that other glass received new rubber seals. A luggage rack is equipped up top. Chrome-plated Fuchs wheels measure 15″ up front and 17″ at the rear and wear Falken rubber. This bus utilizes a Wagenswest suspension featuring lowered spindles, adjustable beams, and adjustable rear spring plates. Braking is from Wilwood discs all around. The interior is trimmed in 2-tone imitation leather that corresponds to the exterior. Other features include tan carpets, a white-painted dashboard, a white perforated headliner, a center console with cupholders, and an overhead console with auxiliary gauges. The 5-digit odometer shows less than 400 miles. Total chassis mileage is unknown. The dashboard-mounted Pioneer touchscreen head unit is equipped with a remote that controls a custom sound system featuring JL Audio speakers, subwoofer, and amplifier housed in a custom-built enclosure at the rear. An interior colored lighting system is controlled via remote as well. The 2,180cc flat-four was reportedly rebuilt with an aluminum case, ported and polished cylinder heads, roller rockers, dual Kadron carburetors, a high-output distributor and ignition coil, a 100-amp alternator, and stainless steel headers and exhaust. Shifting is through a 4-speed Volkswagen Type 1 gearbox featuring a lightened flywheel, an aftermarket clutch, and stock gear ratios.
