This special 280 SL was equipped new from the factory with the most desirable ” oda” hardtop giving the car its iconic name. Additionally, single seats are still covered in factory red leather, power steering, a floor-shift automatic transmission, front and rear bumper guards, instruments served in miles, a driver-side outside mirror, a ropa radio, and paint that is original having only undergone a “correction” with wet sanding and compounding.
True “matching numbers” and “All original” cars are rare, though the terms are often overly used. This example has never been more than 10 miles from where it was purchased and gifted by long-term family ownership. All maintenance is done and current.
