Stunning and spotless, numbers matching, rust-free 1974 Vette that fixes a 454 big block engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. GM listed it as fully optioned when originally purchased, F09 code, 404 trim with black leather interior, and Lin Mile Miglia Red exterior, paint code 76L. Well documented mileage, currently at 61,779, which will go up slightly as we still enjoy it on weekends. The time this Vette has spent on the road has been mostly to and from car shows, local club trips, and NCRS events.

I purchased the Vette from a former Chevrolet Corvette judge, and second owner who loved on it for 30 years. The documents you will receive with the car are unprecedented, with receipts totaling well over $75,000 in work done, a bible of service invoices dating back to the early 90s. Along the same lines, you will receive a binder containing nearly 100 FIRST PLACE awards this beautiful car has earned through the years.

Some of the major work performed includes:
Engine: Original, full rollover valve train including comp cam, ported heads, high compression pistons, and more.
Trans: Original M-21, removed and shipped to Davids 4-Speeds in WI. The M-21 was completely rebuilt with M-22 performance gears and steel mid-plate. Built sheet included.
Carb: Original, removed and shipped to The Carburetor Refactory in Richmond, CA. Because of its age, this 50-year old carb was recently serviced and benched to keep its integrity for shows of high relevance, and was replaced with a new Q-Jet from Guaranteed Carbs in Largo, FL.
Rear end: Original, 3:36, removed and rebuilt to 3:73 ratio by Rears and Gears DND Enterprise in Vacaville, CA.
Driveshaft and half shafts: Original, balanced with new u-joints.
Front bumper: Original urethne, and new fiberglass rear bumper.
Astro-vent Side glass: Original, zero blemishes or windshield chips.
T-Tops: Original, in perfect shape as they have only been off the car a handful of times in the last 30+ years.
Chrome parts: Original, removed and resurfaced by Sherms Plating in Sacramento, CA.
Interior: Original, with power windows, power steering, tilt/telescoping, power brakes, and rear air defrost, everything in working order. The passenger window motor was rebuilt using its original casing at Corvette Stop in Shingle Springs, CA.
AC: Original, compressor was recently serviced and blowing nice cold air.
Exterior: Painted to original specs by Roseville Rod & Custom, in Roseville, CA.
All bonding stripes are intactly in place, corroborating the Vettes accident free history.
Radiator: Be-cool aluminum with an Edelbrock water pump.
Exaust X pipe installed with 2 chamber flow master mufflers.
Starter: Replaced with new AC Delco from Corvette Central.
Brakes: 4-2h33l disks with relatively new tires.
Most recent service included fresh oil change with high-zinc non-synthetic 40-W Valvoline. Trans and rear diff fluid flush, both with non-synthetic Amsoil gear oil. New belts, spark plugs, and spark plug wires.
Not an inch of rust.

What the Vette needs, to the best of my knowledge:
Small chip on hood, shown in one of the pictures.
Clock on dash needs to be removed and repaired.
Slight rattle on shifter at high speeds, very common on C3s.

Fun facts:
Chevy sold over 37,500 Vettes in 1974, up from approximately 30,000 in 1973. The 454 was rare as less than 3,500 buyers ended up ordering it, which was a solid upgrade for customers who didn’t want to settle for the performance figures of the base models. 1974 was the last year with the big block 454. Chevrolet also discontinued the dual exhaust systems, and began using catalytic converters the following year.

As you can appreciate, this car has been pampered its entire 50-year lifespan. It has never seen rain, snow, or extreme heat. I welcome serious buyers and encourage inspectors, technicians, and/or appraisers. To be mutually respectful of our time, I discourage solicitors, tire-kickers, VIN search sellers, and of course, scammers.

Reasonable offers are welcome.
