This 1975 Volkswagen Type 2 underwent a refurbishment and a 23-window Samba-style conversion during previous ownership in Brazil, and it was subsequently imported to Florida by the seller in February 2022. It has been refinished in red and white over white upholstery and is powered by a rebuilt 1.5-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include roof racks, a side ladder, a sliding cloth sunroof, three rows of seating, vinyl plank flooring, a sink, a refrigerator, and storage cupboards. This Brazil-built split-window Bus is now offered with a picnic basket and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. The vehicle reportedly was placed on a rotisserie as part of the refurbishment and conversion, which included the installation of additional windows and the sunroof opening. The subsequent repaint is said to have been carried out in Lotus White with Stupendous Red on the upper portions and accenting the bumpers. Equipment includes a retractable cloth sunroof, a side ladder, dual roof racks, painted bumpers, eight safari windows, and outward-opening dual windshields as well as a chrome VW badge, side mirrors, and door handles. White-painted 14″ steel wheels wear VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with Pirelli Tornado tires that exhibit cracks. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums. The interior has been reupholstered in white vinyl with matching door panels. The walk-through arrangement features wood veneer flooring and cabinets as well as a split front bench seat, a rear-facing middle-row bench, and a folding third-row bench. Additional amenities include a body-color metal dashboard, sliding front windows, a sink, a refrigerator, pop-out side windows, a collapsible table, and window curtains. A picnic basket is included in the sale. A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-km/h speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 81k kilometers (~51k miles), and true mileage is unknown. The 1.5-liter flat-four reportedly was rebuilt during the refurbishment in Brazil. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional images of the underside are provided in the gallery below. Photos of the refurbishment also are included in the gallery.
