1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 ROW ( ro)
Up for grabs is this 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 ROW ( ro). A very stunning car in great condition..near concours level. Here is one of the ultimate G-body trim level cars. This ropean exclusive model is one of the rarest Carrera models in the G ies (the longest-lived series in 911 history, 1973-89). In 1977, 1473 Carrera 3.0 were built..A total of 3687 Carrera 3.0s were built from 1976-1977, a very small number when compared to nearly 60,000 911 SCs and nearly 80,000 911 Carrera 3.2 models. The factory offered the 3.0 with a stronger aluminum cased engines utilizing sch’s CIS to meet emission and sound requirements with 200 hp to replace the emission challenged Carrera 2.7 MFI cars, and of course they had to perform better (or at least as good) as their predecessor (210 hp). The Carrera 3.0 engine was essentially the phenomenal 911 ‘s 2994 cc engine minus the turbocharger and with higher compression. Built before the ‘911 SC’ it has everything the SC has, and more. It’s a different drive with more power at rpm and it was 10% lighter too. It has the 6 bolt flywheel and a crank from the legendary 73 Carrera RS.
