1979 Mercedesbenz 450sl Blue

This 1979 – 450SL is best described as a contemporary classic. Its timeless body design is still regarded as a graceful and elegant shape, its 4.5-liter 190HP V-8 engine still delivers performance on par with contemporary standards and its 4-wheel independent suspension still delivers excellent cornering capability while maintaining a supple ride quality. This particular – is of 1979 vintage and is the last year the 450SL came with the large-displacement 4.5-liter, single overhead cam, V-8 engine, and the 3-speed automatic transmission. Appears to still have its original paint and it looks amazing. Presented in ntic llic (code 044) exterior. The car shows no indication of ever having any paintwork. Beautiful and original matching darker blue leather interior. This fully optioned 450SL comes complete with its original steel hardtop (looks like new) and cloth soft-top. Always ged, and maintained at the highest level. vice history included spanning many many years. The AC works beautifully and blows cold and has been converted to R134. The Blue ther Interior is in nearly like new condition, seats are impeccable as is the wood trim (NO CRACKS). Everything works, very nice handling, a wonderful car to drive. The body is in near-perfect condition, as you'd expect for a beauty of this caliber. The paint is gorgeous, the blue cloth soft top is clean and shows little wear from being down, and the plastic window is clear too. Maintained fastidiously by its two previous owners, the last having been its custodian for more than 25 years. It's ready to be enjoyed and driven anywhere.
