Year: 1999

This 1999 Volkswagen Eurovan was converted to Rialta 22HD motorhome specification by Winnebago Industries when new and was sold in October 1999 by Macdonald’s RV Center of Plainville, Massachusetts. The van was stored shortly thereafter by its original owner, from whom the selling dealer acquired it in October 2020. Now showing just 2,600 miles, the van is finished in white with purple trim and Rialta side decals, and it is powered by a 2.8-liter VR6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The interior features swiveling front seats, a lounge chair, a rear dining area that converts to a bed, and a bathroom with a shower head. The kitchen area is equipped with a propane stove, a sink, an oven, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Other equipment includes a side entry door, a generator, front and rear air conditioning, a furnace, a skylight, a roof vent, privacy glass, a rear window and wiper, and 15″ wheels. This Eurovan camper is now offered at no reserve with its window sticker, a folder with manuals, and a clean Massachusetts title. The van is finished in white with Plum Haze Metallic lower cladding and tri-color Rialta side decals. Optional equipment includes rear air springs, a rear window wiper, a hitch receiver, a TV antenna, a roof-mounted air conditioner, and an exterior wash station. The paintwork, exterior trim, and roof are shown up close in the photo gallery below. Steel 15″ wheels are mounted with VW-logo covers and wear 195/70 front and 215/70 Continental VancoFourSeason tires, which the seller states were replaced in late 2020. The van features a side-entrance door as well as privacy-tinted side and rear glass. The cabin features dual sliding/swiveling front seats with patterned Cyber upholstery, armrests, and lumbar support. Rialta-branded rubber floor mats protect gray carpeting, and amenities include a cassette stereo, air conditioning, a 19,000-BTU furnace, and cruise control. Seatbelts are provided for seven occupants. A four-spoke airbag steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation with a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows approximately 2,600 miles, about 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. The living space features a swiveling lounge chair across from a kitchenette, which is equipped with a three-burner range, an oven, a microwave, and a sink. A translucent bubble-style skylight is overhead. A refrigerator and additional counter space are located in the opposite corner as the kitchenette, and capacities for fresh water, holding tanks, and propane are outlined below. The hour meter on the 3,000-watt generator reads approximately nine hours. A bathroom with a toilet, a collapsible vanity shelf, and a handheld shower-head sprayer is adjacent to the kitchen area, and an openable roof vent is located in the center of the van. Additional amenities include a rear dining table and bench seats that convert to a bed. 120-volt outlets and cupholders are provided around the galley, which is cooled by the aforementioned roof-mounted air conditioner. The narrow-angle 2.8-liter V6 is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and a dipstick for the transmission fluid was added by the original owner. The selling dealer notes that the van ran rough until fresh fuel and injector cleaner were added. The selling dealer notes that the sewer hoses were previously removed for storage and will accompany the vehicle. Additional photos of the underside presented in the gallery below depict corrosion on components such as the exhaust system and the leaf springs. The window sticker indicates that the van was built by Winnebago Industries in Forest City, Iowa and shows selected factory options, the color scheme, and a suggested retail price of $57,501. The following specifications are listed: Exterior length: 21′ 8″ Exterior height (maximum): 8′ 7″ Exterior width: 88″ Fuel capacity: 21 gallons Fresh water capacity: 20 gallons Holding tank (main): 13 gallons Holding tank (auxiliary): 6 gallons Liquid propane gas (max capacity 80%): 7 gallons The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration activity in Massachusetts since October 1999. A seven-minute tour of the interior is provided above, and an exterior walk-around that also shows the engine bay can be viewed here. A start-up video is below. Filed under: camper, motorhome
